About the event
Temporary anchorage devices (TADs) have transformed orthodontic biomechanics by allowing clinicians to achieve precise, predictable tooth movement with minimal reliance on patient compliance. This lecture will review practical and efficient ways to incorporate microimplants into everyday clinical practice to enhance anteroposterior (AP) control in both Class II and Class III treatment. Through clinical examples and simplified biomechanical principles, attendees will learn how TADs can be used to reinforce anchorage, expand treatment possibilities, and improve treatment efficiency. Applications will include maximum anchorage extraction space closure, maxillary and mandibular molar distalization, molar intrusion, and the use of MARPE combined with facemask therapy for maxillary protraction.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will learn simple and predictable biomechanical strategies for using TADs to improve anchorage control in Class II and Class III cases.
Attendees will understand how TADs can be applied for maximum anchorage during extraction space closure, molar distalization, and vertical control.
Attendees will learn…
